PENGARUH PEMBERIAN BONEKA BERSUARA TERHADAP TINGKAT KECEMASAN PASIEN ANAK YANG AKAN DILAKUKAN PENCABUTAN GIGI
Abstract
Latar belakang. Di klinik Eksodonsia Jurusan Kesehatan Gigi Palembang, sering dijumpai pasien usia anak yang pada saat datang bersikap biasa, namun begitu mendengar bahwa giginya akan dicabut, seketika menunjukkan rasa cemas dan ketakutan yang pada akhirnya anak ingin pulang. Tujuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh permainan boneka bersuara terhadap tingkat kecemasan pasien anak yang akan dilakukan pencabutan gigi. Metode: Rancangan Penelitian adalah quasi eksperimental semu dengan pendekatan one group pretest and post test. Sampel adalah pasien usia 7-10 tahun yang berobat di klinik eksodonsia Jurusan Kesehatan Gigi Poltekkes Palembang, sebanyak 30 responden. Tingkat kecemasan diukur dengan skala ukur Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HRS-A). Analisa data dilakukan menggunakan uji T berpasangan dengan CI 95% dan α < 0,05. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan P = 0.00, artinya ada perbedaan secara signifikan antara tingkat kecemasan responden sebelum diberikan boneka bersuara dan setelah diberikan boneka bersuara pada responden yang akan dilakukan pencabutan gigi. Kesimpulan Pemberian boneka bersuara pada anak yang akan dilakukan pencabutan gigi berpengaruh menurunkan tingkat kecemasan anak secara signifikan.
